Hey guys! Still chugging along here. I wanted to post to say I finally have a smart phone. An early Christmas present. Anyhow, with it I finally got an instagram account! Lissa_glowcat. If you follow that account you will be following all my art not just #brickportdogs If you want a life update- I am still searching for an apartment but I am now post of a tattoo studio! Slowly things are coming back together! I hope I can make it start together for a few years. Also for weeks left to hear macdowell's decision on my art residency application! Nervous!

Hey. It's past time I updated folks on my situation.

I'm still technicaly between homes, HOWEVER. I'm starting a tattoo position in my old city soon. So I'm moving back there, it may be a few more weeks.

My computer did indeed kick the bucket entirely a bit back. As a result I had to wipe the drive while I was 3 hours away from my backup and it took even longer to get a new photoshop on my computer and longer still to get my scanner to work again- Twain and photoshop are divorced now, and for some reason my 'toolbox' wouldn't reinstall succesfully.

I also discovered I HATE Maverick and I reformated my computer after two days of that mess.

I also want to update folks on my search for grants. It hasn't gone far. Most won't cover what I need- living expenses and art supplies. If anyone stumbles on one, let me know. Otherwise what I have done so far is apply for an artist residency with MacDowell. A pretty presitigous art coloney! Wish me luck! If I make it there, or get a grant I'll be able to settle into a new home and really focus on the comic like I continue to try to do, but so far for the last couple months find myself thwarted.

The delay.

So I need to let you folks know that page 8 is coming. I've finished the pencil work on it. It needs to be scanned and put together and edited on the computer... however- I can't.

My computer had been suffering from corrupted info somewhere in it's hard drive. I tried and tried and tried to fix the problem without wiping the hard drive, but when I couldn't even get it to run my scanner anylonger it was time. So this week that''s what I did. The other part of the problem I'm running into now is that while my computer and scanner are here- I don't have photoshop anylonger. And it'll be a few days before I get to have someone assist me with putting that back on this computer... because... well... it's an expensive program, and I'm not a money bags girl if you catch my drift...

So. I'm working on the comic. Right now I'm just rolling onto drawing the next pages and will get to the computer work and posting things on the old schedule as soon as I can. That means you may get pages as soon as they're finished.
